Senior Full-Stack Technical Lead (Remote, US)

Lead architecture, development, security, and delivery for CloudPSO’s operational software serving alternative investment managers. Guide engineering execution while strengthening platform reliability, security, and release practices.

Description

  • Lead technical implementation, architecture decisions, code quality, and release readiness
  • Build product features, fix defects, and review fellow engineers’ work
  • Maintain configurable workflows and a metadata-driven PostgreSQL data model
  • Protect data integrity, version history, effective dates, and auditability
  • Develop secure APIs and apply authorization checks on the server
  • Support integrations with APIs, SFTP, email, object storage, and uploaded files
  • Partner with DevOps specialists to standardize customer installations, upgrades, database migrations, and recovery procedures
  • Create automated tests and keep technical documentation clear and current
  • Contribute to security reviews, vulnerability remediation, and SOC 2 readiness work
  • Convert business priorities into actionable engineering tasks and communicate risks
  • Mentor engineers and coordinate technical delivery across the team
  • Learn and document the platform architecture and key workflows within the first 90 days
  • Create a prioritized backlog and establish code-review and release procedures
  • Deliver agreed improvements and expand test coverage for critical workflows
  • Help verify deployment, migration, and recovery procedures
  • Assess major security and reliability gaps and create a prioritized remediation plan

Requirements

  • Proven senior-level ownership of production B2B software
  • Strong practical frontend and backend development experience
  • Advanced PostgreSQL and SQL knowledge, including schema design, transactions, migrations, and performance troubleshooting
  • Experience developing APIs, background jobs, and dependable scheduled workflows
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization and securely handling sensitive data
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing, Git, code reviews, and CI/CD
  • Experience operating cloud-hosted applications and diagnosing production issues
  • Ability to lead a small team while continuing to contribute as a developer
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to take ownership of an existing application despite incomplete specifications

  • Core engineering work must be performed within the United States
