Senior Frontend Software Engineer — Hybrid in Texas

Lead frontend architecture and development for TeamViewer’s digital workplace platform using React and TypeScript. Own performance, testing, design systems, and responsible AI-assisted engineering practices.

Description

  • Build and maintain complex, large-scale web applications with React and TypeScript
  • Own frontend architecture across micro-frontends, monorepos, and shared component libraries
  • Establish scalable approaches to state management and data fetching across server, client, and UI layers
  • Help govern the design system in partnership with UX and UI designers
  • Connect frontend applications to backend services and APIs through contracts, authentication flows, and data models
  • Improve web performance through rendering optimization, code splitting, bundle-size reduction, and Core Web Vitals work
  • Maintain standards for security, accessibility, internationalization, and browser compatibility
  • Set frontend testing practices spanning unit, integration, visual regression, and end-to-end coverage
  • Support build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Advance responsible adoption of AI-assisted frontend development across the team
  • Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and guide cross-team technical decisions
  • Shape frontend architecture and serve as a technical authority in an agile environment

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 years of professional frontend development experience, including technical leadership
  • Expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
  • Deep experience with state management and data-fetching tools such as Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, Zustand, MobX, TanStack Query, or XState
  • Experience creating and maintaining design systems or component libraries using tools such as Storybook, design tokens, and theming
  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures and scalable frontend codebases, including Nx or Turborepo monorepo tooling
  • Strong command of modern build and bundling tools, including Vite and Webpack
  • Understanding of web performance profiling and optimization techniques such as memoization, virtualization, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals
  • Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, and authentication standards such as OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG accessibility requirements and web security practices, including XSS, CSRF, and CSP
  • Experience with Jest or Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright or Cypress
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, including responsible team use
  • Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating in agile teams
  • Frontend observability and error tracking experience with tools such as Sentry or OpenTelemetry is a plus
  • Experience with server-side rendering frameworks such as Next.js or Node.js is a plus
