Description

  • Scale frontend architecture so a growing engineering team can contribute effectively
  • Create responsive, data-rich experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile users
  • Partner with design, product, operations, and engineering on new and existing workflows
  • Increase consistency and maintainability across frontend applications and shared components
  • Establish frontend standards for component architecture, design-system usage, responsiveness, accessibility, and maintainability
  • Expand Storybook coverage and strengthen component documentation
  • Develop tooling and automated review safeguards for recurring frontend quality issues and code smells
  • Contribute to backend APIs and broader platform improvements as needed
  • Mentor engineers and help elevate engineering quality across the organization

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience developing applications with React.js
  • At least two years of experience using Node.js, Python, or a comparable backend language
  • At least two years of experience building high-traffic web applications in a startup setting
  • At least two years of responsive web development across browsers, tablets, and mobile devices
  • At least two years of experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
  • Strong product and user-experience judgment with a systems-focused approach to frontend engineering
  • Experience working across functions with product and design teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with UI libraries such as Chakra UI or Material UI
  • Experience using Storybook to document UI components
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Sentry, Bugsnag, or Datadog
  • Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Puppeteer
  • Familiarity with relational databases including PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Interest in AI-assisted development workflows and documentation practices
