Senior Finance Data Engineer Remote in France

Build and scale Voodoo’s finance data platform, pipelines, automation, and internal tools. Partner with Finance and Data teams to improve reporting, forecasting, workflows, and decision-making at a global mobile gaming and consumer apps company.

Description

  • Set the roadmap for Finance data, automation, and internal tooling
  • Scale Voodoo’s Finance data platform around high-value business use cases
  • Replace spreadsheet- and legacy-tool workflows with tested, documented code-based solutions
  • Develop dependable data models and pipelines for Finance reporting, analysis, forecasting, and operations
  • Define standards for data quality, observability, documentation, security, and access management
  • Translate requirements from Accounting, FP&A, Controlling, Treasury, and other Finance teams into scalable technical solutions
  • Work with Data leaders and engineering teams on architecture, tooling, and best practices
  • Create dashboards and internal applications that support independent data exploration and workflow management
  • Turn AI and automation opportunities from prototypes into production solutions and measure their impact
  • Support Finance adoption of data and AI tools through documentation, training, and ongoing assistance
  • Report to the CFO while collaborating with Finance stakeholders and Voodoo’s central Data team

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related discipline, including ownership of production-grade data solutions
  • Demonstrated success building or significantly enhancing a modern data platform or analytics stack
  • Advanced SQL skills and practical experience developing production systems with Python
  • Strong data-focused software engineering practices, including testing, version control, code review, documentation, and monitoring
  • Sound knowledge of corporate Finance and accounting, with French accounting experience considered advantageous
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business requirements into clear, practical technical solutions
  • Ability to work independently, balance competing priorities, and deliver value iteratively
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders in French and English
  • Interest in the changing data and AI landscape, with a willingness to test approaches on real problems and develop informed opinions
  • Rigorous, detail-focused approach with an emphasis on measurable outcomes and pragmatic build, open-source, or commercial technology choices
  • Experience creating tools or data products for Finance teams is a plus
  • Experience putting AI agents or AI-enabled workflows into production is a plus
  • Familiarity with mobile gaming, consumer apps, advertising, or digital analytics is a plus
  • Experience running data infrastructure on AWS is a plus
  • Technical knowledge of AWS, Python, SQL, Scala, dbt, Airflow, Spark, Athena, StarRocks, Terraform, Kubernetes, Streamlit, Claude Code, and MCP-based internal tooling
