Develop electromechanical prototypes, PCB test boards, and manufacturing documentation for Intel’s advanced packaging technology programs. Validate performance and reliability through simulation, testing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Description

  • Design PCB test boards, electromechanical devices, assemblies, packaging, and prototypes for advanced packaging technology development
  • Define product and test specifications from technical requirements and lead design reviews
  • Produce CAD-based manufacturing drawing packages for PCB and mechanical assemblies
  • Assess design feasibility and use system simulations to verify functionality, reliability, and safety
  • Choose suitable materials, components, and manufacturing processes for optimized electromechanical designs
  • Carry out testing of electronic and mechanical interactions, including thermal cycling, dynamic analysis, and functional reliability evaluation
  • Use advanced computer-aided design techniques to investigate and solve engineering problems
  • Partner with thermal, mechanical, and systems engineers to refine design parameters and meet performance targets

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a relevant technical discipline plus 8–10 years of hands-on electromechanical design experience
  • Advanced proficiency with CAD tools for PCB and mechanical assembly design
  • Experience with manufacturing methods, material selection, and high-volume production environments
  • Expertise in creating and performing test plans for functional verification and reliability evaluation
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 3–6 years of hands-on electromechanical design experience
  • Preferred: Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Preferred: Project management experience covering configuration management and change control
  • Preferred: Familiarity with dynamic analysis, thermal cycling, and system simulation
  • Preferred: Experience conducting design previews and addressing implementation issues with cross-functional partners
