Senior Electrical Engineer, PE III

Lead electrical engineering for ENFRA’s Energy-as-a-Service projects, including renewable generation, energy storage, and controls. Oversee design delivery, compliance, client coordination, and development of junior engineers.

Description

  • Sign and seal engineering documents while maintaining quality standards
  • Lead and review designs for solar, battery storage, fuel cell, and combined heat and power facilities
  • Perform and review utility interconnection, arc flash, short-circuit, and breaker coordination studies
  • Manage electrical scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Oversee planning for field investigations and site visits
  • Review plans for 3D laser scanning work
  • Solve highly complex technical and coordination issues
  • Provide technical guidance and review junior staff’s work
  • Work independently with broad decision-making authority
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers
  • Coordinate with clients, utilities, and other stakeholders
  • Support existing client relationships through technical guidance, proposals, and client engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems
  • Experience coordinating systems, protection, and controls integration
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs
  • Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to remain stationary, including kneeling, standing, or sitting for extended periods
  • Repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
