Senior Electrical Engineer (PE III)

Lead electrical engineering design for ENFRA hospital and college campus infrastructure, including power, renewable energy, storage, and controls. Sign and seal documents, manage project delivery, and mentor engineering staff.

Description

  • Sign and seal engineering documents and uphold quality standards.
  • Lead and review designs for solar, battery storage, fuel cell, and combined heat and power plants.
  • Perform and review utility interconnection, arc flash, short-circuit, and breaker coordination studies.
  • Manage electrical scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Oversee planning for field investigations and site visits.
  • Review plans for 3D laser scanning when needed.
  • Resolve complex technical and coordination challenges.
  • Provide technical oversight and review junior staff work.
  • Work independently with broad authority.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate with clients, utilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Support existing client relationships through technical guidance, proposals, and client engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of design experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems.
  • Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure or energy programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with utility coordination and interconnection processes preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10–20% of the time.
  • Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to remain stationary, often kneeling, standing, or sitting, for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.
  • Ability to work in a quiet environment.
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
