Description

  • Lead enterprise Drupal design, modernization, and implementation in cloud-hosted environments that meet DHS technical standards
  • Define Drupal application architectures, including monolithic and headless or decoupled models
  • Set architecture patterns, coding standards, and reusable module practices
  • Direct the development, enhancement, and upkeep of custom Drupal modules
  • Assess and approve contributed Drupal modules and third-party libraries
  • Improve Drupal performance through caching, content architecture, and page-rendering optimization
  • Design Drupal integrations with Okta SSO, data services, cloud platforms, and external APIs
  • Ensure Drupal applications interoperate with systems and databases across DHS enterprise environments
  • Maintain compliance with DHS security directives, cloud security controls, and NIST-aligned safeguards
  • Verify Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 A/AA accessibility compliance while supporting Trusted Tester practices
  • Lead functional, regression, accessibility, usability, and integration testing
  • Provide technical direction for releases, migrations, deployments, and environment configuration alongside DevOps teams
  • Assess emerging Drupal capabilities, frameworks, hosting approaches, and tools
  • Counsel leadership on Drupal roadmaps, platform consolidation, and enterprise reuse
  • Coach developers, analysts, and architects
  • Create or oversee SELC documentation, architecture diagrams, data flows, module specifications, and user and developer guides
  • Contribute to governance reviews, change control, and technical assessments for Drupal modernization and enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • At least 11 years of progressive technical or functional experience in the relevant specialty
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to complete a government background investigation successfully
  • Eligibility to obtain Public Trust status
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities
  • Ability to motivate and lead technical teams
  • Hands-on experience with Drupal, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, SharePoint, Office 365, Azure, Dataverse, Confluence, Jira, and ServiceNow
  • Working knowledge of DHS technical standards, cloud environments, DHS 4300A security directives, cloud security controls, NIST-aligned safeguards, Section 508, WCAG 2.0 A/AA, and Trusted Tester practices
  • Microsoft certification is preferred
