Senior DevOps Engineer - Europe (Hybrid)

Lead HyperGuest’s Kubernetes infrastructure, cloud environments, and CI/CD systems across development and production. Help maintain secure, scalable, and dependable services while supporting engineering teams and participating in production on-call coverage.

Description

  • Contribute to system architecture, design decisions, and technology selection
  • Operate Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources across development and production environments
  • Create, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Document and continuously enhance DevOps processes and practices
  • Monitor systems, investigate incidents, and implement resolutions
  • Join the production-services on-call rotation outside standard business hours
  • Support developers with day-to-day work, deployments, and technical projects
  • Coach and support junior DevOps engineers
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for development and production
  • Maintain platform reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Develop effective solutions for complex problems in large-scale cloud production environments

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of production DevOps engineering experience
  • Experience operating highly available services with clustering and redundancy
  • Strong Linux and networking fundamentals, including kernel tuning, process management, inter-process communication, filesystems and disk I/O, DNS, routing and subnetting, IP protocols, SSL/TLS, and packet analysis
  • Hands-on experience with managed cloud services for compute, networking, storage, and databases, preferably AWS or GCP
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Experience managing Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform; Terragrunt experience is desirable
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK or OpenSearch
  • Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners is advantageous
  • Strong shell scripting ability
  • Basic Python or Go programming experience is desirable
  • Working knowledge of security best practices
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions that directly affect the work
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and written communication skills
