Senior DevOps Engineer at GFT Technologies in Costa Rica (Remote)
Lead DevOps automation for Flutter mobile applications and Java microservices, building CI/CD pipelines and scaling AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure. Help GFT Technologies’ clients advance their digital transformation through reliable delivery practices.
Description
- Design and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for Flutter mobile applications and Java microservices
- Automate mobile application builds and distribution for Android and iOS, including testing and validation
- Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform across ECS, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and RDS
- Administer Kubernetes environments, Helm charts, and ArgoCD deployments
- Optimize Docker images and coordinate container delivery across Kubernetes clusters
- Partner with mobile and backend developers to integrate testing and improve DevOps workflows
- Provide technical mentoring and support on CI/CD practices and automation tools
- Improve continuous delivery processes, deployment quality, and the scalability of infrastructure solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Advanced experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, including parameterized YAML and macOS agents
- Practical knowledge of GitHub Actions is preferred
- Experience automating Flutter builds for Android and iOS
- Strong AWS experience with ECS/EKS Fargate, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and RDS
- AWS certification is preferred
- Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Experience with Firebase for application distribution and API connectivity from pipelines
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments, including Helm, monitoring, and scalability
- Experience with ArgoCD for continuous deployment
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Technical knowledge of Java and familiarity with Flutter and Dart
- Ability to understand and optimize complex workflows
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with mobile, backend, and QA developers
- Proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements
- Strong focus on automation
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and priorities
- Ability to mentor junior DevOps professionals and developers who work with pipelines
