Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer - Cube Asia
Cube Asia is hiring a senior engineer to secure and operate cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, and CI/CD pipelines. The role is hybrid in Bangkok or remote from Indonesia for candidates based in Thailand or Indonesia.
Description
- Architect and operate secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-conscious cloud infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management with Infrastructure as Code and related tooling.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support dependable, automated software releases.
- Run containerized applications and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes and managed cloud container services.
- Operate cloud networks, databases, observability systems, backups, and disaster-recovery infrastructure.
- Handle daily infrastructure operations, investigate technical problems, respond to incidents, and participate in post-incident reviews.
- Automate recurring operational work while improving reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Software Engineering and Data Engineering to deliver practical, dependable infrastructure solutions.
- Keep technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures accurate and accessible.
- Help migrate and modernize legacy systems and infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, SRE, or a comparable position.
- Strong Linux administration skills and experience operating cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS.
- Practical experience designing and managing infrastructure with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Practical experience operating Docker containers and Kubernetes or comparable orchestration platforms.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines within Git-based development workflows.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, including VPCs or VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs, DNS, and load balancers.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability platforms.
- Working familiarity with widely used databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Ability to write basic Bash, Python, or similar scripts for automation and operational support.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose infrastructure and production problems and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience migrating, modernizing, or transitioning legacy systems and infrastructure.
- Experience with data analytics and big-data services is advantageous.
- Infrastructure or cloud certifications are advantageous.
