Senior Data Engineer, Brazil (Remote)
Build data pipelines, warehouse models, and orchestration systems for R2’s embedded finance platform. Help support financial services for small and midsize businesses across Latin America.
Description
- Design and maintain data pipelines, ELT workflows, and the data warehouse
- Develop reliable ingestion pipelines for partner integrations
- Build extraction, transformation, and loading workflows for varied data sources
- Document data architecture and processes
- Create warehouse models that standardize and denormalize data from multiple sources
- Automate data workflows by implementing and maintaining an orchestration system
- Develop integration components that can be reused across platforms
- Protect data integrity by alerting on failed data updates
- Contribute to financial infrastructure for small and midsize businesses across Latin America
Requirements
- At least five years of Python experience
- Strong software engineering skills
- Experience with ELT patterns and tools such as Airbyte or Fivetran
- Experience with data orchestration and pipeline tools such as Airflow, Astronomer, Dagster, or equivalent
- Expertise in SQL and data modeling with relational databases and data warehouses
- Experience building data models and transformation jobs with tools such as dbt
- Proficiency with Git-based version control
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of reliable, monitored, scalable data processing systems
- Experience collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and machine learning engineers
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery
- Experience working in the AWS ecosystem
- Experience working with third-party APIs
