Description
- Develop and execute comprehensive data strategies aligned with client objectives
- Create governance policies and processes that support data quality, security, and compliance
- Build and lead virtual teams of data scientists, analysts, and engineers
- Implement data architectures and technologies that meet changing business needs
- Partner with client stakeholders to identify opportunities for using data effectively
- Oversee data management and integration across systems and platforms
- Assess emerging data technologies and trends, recommending strategic investments
- Promote data literacy and awareness through training and communications
- Coordinate data initiatives with IT and other departments
- Create KPI monitoring and reporting solutions
- Develop data-focused value proposition materials for the sales team
- Represent Symphony’s data capabilities in sales calls and at conferences
- Expand organizational data capabilities in response to market trends
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience in data-related roles
- Expertise in modern data technologies and architectures, including AWS or Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Apache Spark or PySpark, Python, and SQL
- Established senior leadership experience in data management, including successful delivery of robust data strategies
- Demonstrated experience and references in designing and implementing global big data platforms
- Advanced degree in computer science, information management, business analytics, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance, privacy, and security practices
- Working understanding of data mesh and data fabric concepts
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with data technologies, architectures, and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with executives, stakeholders, and technical teams
- Strategic approach to connecting data initiatives with business objectives
- Familiarity with a range of business domains
