Senior Data Analyst, Lumina Data Platform - RealPage (Texas Remote)

Senior Data Analyst responsible for turning RealPage’s cloud data platform into reliable business insights. The role covers metric governance, technical documentation, self-service analytics, SQL, and AI-assisted analysis.

Description

  • Partner with stakeholders to frame questions, retrieve and model platform data, and present clear findings and recommendations.
  • Build comprehensive knowledge of the platform’s data model, data, and capabilities.
  • Respond to consumer questions about available data, its meaning, and appropriate usage.
  • Define, validate, and maintain core metrics so they remain consistent across the platform.
  • Document data sources, schemas, metric definitions, and query patterns.
  • Create reusable queries, dashboards, and practical guides that support self-service analytics.
  • Profile data sources, identify anomalies, and collaborate with data engineering to correct issues at their origin.
  • Convert consumer needs into platform-team feedback and support team onboarding to new data.
  • Apply AI tools to analysis, SQL drafting, findings summaries, and documentation, while sharing effective practices with the team.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a comparable role producing analysis that informed real decisions.
  • Advanced SQL skills and the ability to independently query, join, and model data in a cloud warehouse.
  • Familiarity with a scripting language such as Python is beneficial.
  • Practical understanding of modern cloud data architectures, data pipelines, and schemas.
  • Ability to trace data from source through consumption, diagnose data issues, and collaborate on technical solutions.
  • Strong technical writing skills covering data dictionaries, metric definitions, runbooks, and how-to guides.
  • Ability to validate results, explain assumptions, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Regular use of AI tools and willingness to keep pace with evolving capabilities.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Based in the United States; the role is available to US-based candidates.
  • Knowledge of property, leasing, or real estate data is preferred but not required.
  • Experience establishing or maintaining a data catalog, data dictionary, or metrics layer is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting internal users of a shared data platform is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with dbt, version control, or documentation-as-code practices is beneficial.
