Description

  • Manage the daily delivery of an established public relations program
  • Prepare and distribute press materials, coordinate announcements, and maintain an editorial calendar for news opportunities
  • Pitch and secure coverage with security, technology, and business media
  • Develop lasting relationships with reporters, editors, analysts, and creators
  • Turn technical threat research and product news into accessible, engaging external messaging
  • Support executive and spokesperson communications through briefing materials, talking points, and industry engagement opportunities
  • Monitor media coverage and the broader news environment, reporting performance against program objectives
  • Establish and expand an earned creator program by defining its strategy, prioritizing platforms, and building its operating foundation
  • Research, evaluate, and cultivate credible relationships with creators and voices in security, technology, consumer, and related fields
  • Create creator briefs, story concepts, and campaign opportunities
  • Coordinate creator initiatives for launches, research publications, and cultural moments with social, content, and brand partners
  • Evaluate earned creator results and improve the program as it grows
  • Collaborate with content, social, brand, product marketing, and threat research teams to maintain consistent messaging
  • Apply sound judgment to breaking news and issues involving a cybersecurity brand

Requirements

  • Bring 7–10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or earned media across in-house, agency, or combined settings
  • Demonstrate success securing media coverage and building authentic relationships with journalists or creators
  • Write and edit confidently, making technical subjects understandable and engaging for general audiences
  • Understand the creator and influencer ecosystem
  • Balance dependable execution within a mature program with building new initiatives from the ground up
  • Work independently and stay organized while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Show interest in cybersecurity, technology, privacy, or online culture
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
  • Experience in cybersecurity, technology, or another technically complex, fast-paced industry is advantageous
  • Experience launching or expanding earned creator or influencer programs is advantageous
  • Familiarity with media monitoring, public relations, and social measurement tools is advantageous
