Senior Cloud Specialist - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Deloitte is seeking a Senior Cloud Specialist to manage Azure, GCP, and AWS infrastructure in Malaysia. The role focuses on cloud operations, automation, security, and regional platform support.
Description
- Operate Azure, GCP, and AWS cloud environments
- Troubleshoot cloud environments while maintaining sound security practices and compliance
- Deploy product updates and deliver system integrations
- Identify opportunities to improve regional cloud infrastructure through cloud technologies
- Analyze operational data to support improvements and optimization
- Architect, install, configure, and maintain Azure or AWS environments
- Partner with infrastructure and application teams to preserve cloud availability and accessibility
- Deliver solutions aligned with company security standards
- Assist users and resolve issues across Azure, GCP, and AWS environments
- Support and enhance continuous build, automated testing, and release-management tools from development through production
- Design and deploy code and assets in an Agile environment while testing, monitoring, and maintaining service-platform components
- Investigate system-performance problems and recommend resolutions with application and support teams
- Handle code deployments, virtual-server administration, scripting, and related support activities
- Detect system discrepancies, evaluate risks, and implement security-compliant solutions
- Keep cloud procedures and configuration records up to date
- Assist with security and IT audits to support compliance
- Develop and oversee automation for cloud-infrastructure operations
- Maintain IT asset inventories and related documentation
Requirements
- A Computer Science bachelor's degree from a local or overseas university is preferred
- Azure or AWS certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of building, delivering, and managing Azure, GCP, or AWS IaaS and PaaS environments
- Experience with P2V/V2V migrations and hypervisor software such as Microsoft Hyper-V is preferred
- Four to five years of experience managing and maintaining small to medium-sized Azure or AWS cloud environments
- Two years of professional software development or programming experience in Python, Ruby, modern JavaScript, Java, C++, or C is optional
- A background in cloud computing, including SaaS and PaaS
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware and Citrix, as well as Azure and AWS
- Ability to understand broad technical challenges and implement advanced solutions
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with local colleagues and Southeast Asian regional counterparts
