Description

  • Maintain the availability, reliability, performance, and security of production environments
  • Drive ongoing improvements to infrastructure, automation, observability, and deployment practices
  • Prevent, manage, and investigate incidents through root-cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Partner with Engineering teams to improve application architecture, resilience, and operational readiness
  • Automate repetitive operational work using Infrastructure as Code and delivery pipelines
  • Contribute to capacity planning, cloud cost control, operational risk management, and environment continuity
  • Convert recurring operational problems into automation and lasting structural improvements
  • Operate independently in critical production environments, diagnose issues, lead incidents, and make sound technical decisions

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience with substantial AWS expertise
  • Hands-on AWS experience in production environments requiring high availability
  • Practical knowledge of EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPCs, subnets, security groups, route tables, NAT Gateways, and load balancers
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
  • Strong Linux and networking fundamentals, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Experience working with Docker containers and orchestrated environments
  • Experience building or operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions
  • Understanding of Blue/Green and Canary deployments, as well as rollback procedures
  • Experience with observability practices covering metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security, IAM, and access management
  • Availability for an on-call rotation covering one Saturday each month
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Three to five years of professional experience
