Senior C# .NET Application Developer (Hybrid, Michigan)

Build and support Source-to-Pay applications for a procurement analytics business. This senior full-stack role spans web interfaces, databases, APIs, and e-procurement integrations.

Description

  • Build, enhance, and maintain web applications that support DSSI Source-to-Pay processes
  • Translate business and system requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Work with process teams, project coordinators, stakeholders, developers, and IT colleagues
  • Create and improve user-interface features and back-end functionality
  • Provide application support and resolve production issues
  • Maintain applications and services hosted on web servers
  • Apply object-oriented programming and enterprise development practices
  • Develop and support RESTful services, Web APIs, XML, JSON, and related integrations
  • Use SQL Server and connect applications to IBM i/AS400 and DB2 systems
  • Contribute to architecture, integration, database design, and solution development
  • Manage assigned projects and initiatives through quality, timely delivery
  • Prepare and maintain application, testing, help, programmer, and object documentation
  • Perform unit and integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing
  • Help train users and support adoption of new or enhanced features
  • Resolve complex technical problems and improve performance, reliability, maintainability, and usability
  • Take part in code reviews and follow IT standards, procedures, and development practices
  • Keep current with relevant technologies, development methods, and industry developments
  • Guide and mentor developers with less experience
  • Use technology to support business development, service delivery, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Handle additional responsibilities assigned by management
  • Follow company policies, IT procedures, programming standards, and project-management requirements
  • Maintain the company Quality Management System and applicable quality standards
  • Contribute to a professional, respectful, and inclusive workplace

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Processing, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience
  • At least six years of hands-on experience developing and supporting web applications with C# and .NET
  • At least six years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, database development, and SQL programming
  • At least four years of experience with Telerik UI controls and object-oriented enterprise application development
  • Strong command of C#, ASP.NET/.NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and web application development
  • At least three years of experience building RESTful services and Web API integrations
  • Experience creating and integrating XML- and JSON-based interfaces
  • Knowledge of relational database design, development, and integration
  • Understanding of SDLC, software and database methodologies, and system integration practices
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities for complex technical issues
  • Ability to understand business processes and convert requirements into workable technical solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a small, collaborative IT team
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge
  • Ability to learn new technologies and build technical skills as business and technology needs change
