Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Ghana (Hybrid)
Lead analytics initiatives in a senior business intelligence role supporting financial and strategic planning at Ecobank. Create dashboards, models, and actionable insights for management and business teams.
Description
- Work with business unit leaders to uncover opportunities for applying analytics
- Develop advanced analytical capabilities that strengthen decision-making across Group Technology
- Transform data into insights that help distinguish services and products
- Deliver timely, proactive analytics that improve customer experience and business decisions
- Manage and support the team workload portal while maintaining visibility into delivery status
- Apply SQL, data mining, data manipulation, and Python/R statistical analysis to address business challenges and define analytical approaches
- Convert operational business requirements into actionable intermediate or complex analyses
- Deliver analytical initiatives that improve processes, products, people, or technology
- Create and enhance Power BI dashboards and self-service reports using advanced analytical and statistical methods
- Communicate recommendations and their business impact to management and partner teams
- Prepare monthly business performance reviews with Lead Finance Officers teams
- Produce ad hoc analyses for senior management and investigate issues proactively
- Coordinate monthly reporting and annual planning with business teams while maintaining data integrity and process compliance
- Collaborate with analysts on data models and star schemas, maintain data quality and testing standards, and improve analytical efficiency
- Define test scenarios and work with testing teams on system integration test scripts and results
Requirements
- At least seven years of proven experience using analytics and data analysis to achieve measurable business improvements
- Five or more years of experience in financial services
- Strong SQL and database administration skills, including SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Working knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Basic knowledge of Azure and Spark, including data governance and security controls
- Strong data modeling and star schema design capabilities
- Strong Power BI and Tableau visualization skills
- Basic ability to program and script in Python or R
- Strong data quality, profiling, and testing capabilities
- Strong statistical modeling and analysis skills
- Strong innovation and solution design capabilities
- Basic awareness of predictive modeling and artificial intelligence concepts
- Strong communication and data storytelling skills
- Strong judgment, decision-making, and accountability
