Description

  • Maintain accurate, separate books for the Ventures holding company and each individual venture
  • Reconcile bank accounts, cards, online-store sales, subscription billing and payment gateways, including fees, refunds, chargebacks and settlement differences
  • Handle customer and supplier invoicing
  • Follow up on missing documentation and overdue receivables
  • Prepare payment runs for approval
  • Keep inventory and product-cost records aligned with the operations team
  • Reconcile approved supplier, creator and platform payouts
  • Record intercompany activity and approved cost allocations with corresponding balances
  • Produce monthly profit-and-loss, balance-sheet and cash reports
  • Perform reconciliations continuously throughout the month
  • Establish organized accounting records for each new venture
  • Develop automations that steadily improve the speed of financial operations
  • Collaborate directly with the founders and finance team
  • Create finance processes and automations to support the growth of the Ventures business

Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail across records, reconciliations and financial accuracy
  • Experience managing bookkeeping and month-end activities for multiple businesses at the same time
  • Background in SaaS, e-commerce, inventory or consumer products is beneficial
  • Comfortable working with Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books or a comparable accounting platform
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
  • Practical UAE VAT experience supporting accountants and external advisers during filing and audit processes
  • Regular use of AI and automation tools for bank rules, receipt capture, verification and analysis
  • Sound judgment about which activities to automate and which must remain recorded in the ledger
  • Discreet and persistent when resolving missing documentation
  • Able to communicate issues clearly
  • Fluent English required
  • Arabic language skills are advantageous
  • Must understand 8Flamez’s business before applying
  • Application must describe the accounting systems used, businesses supported, a challenging reconciliation resolved, and a bookkeeping task improved or accelerated with AI
  • Application must state location and notice period
