Build and evolve product capabilities
Address complex backend challenges while shaping technical and product direction
Deliver moderately complex to complex backend features with limited supervision
Choose appropriately between modular-monolith code, shared components, and independently operated services
Establish backend standards for code style, maintainability, testing, APIs, and operational readiness
Champion product quality, security, availability, and performance
Support the development of associate and intermediate engineers through mentorship
Resolve technical blockers and strengthen delivery practices through code and design reviews
Identify and prevent performance and reliability problems at scale
Contribute to incident response and take technical ownership when needed
Apply AI to production engineering, assess its effectiveness, and guide responsible adoption
Work across product, frontend, infrastructure, data, and security teams
Collaborate with product managers and designers to define requirements

Requirements

Strong expertise in backend architecture, APIs, data systems, and performance optimization within complex products or services
Proficiency with modern backend programming languages
Extensive knowledge of systems programming
Experience designing or evolving modular backend boundaries, bounded contexts, and architectures that support safe migration
Ability to lead through influence, sound technical judgment, and clear written communication
Demonstrated experience building or operating agentic systems in production
Experience designing agentic AI loops, tool integration, and error-handling approaches for reliable operation at scale
Willingness to incorporate AI into everyday workflows
