Description

  • Architect and lead scalable, highly available backend services and REST APIs built with Go, Java, and JavaScript
  • Guide the design and ongoing development of enterprise applications with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Manage complex business logic, authentication, authorization, and integration services
  • Set API design standards and oversee integrations with internal and external systems
  • Work with frontend engineers and support ReactJS user-facing development when required
  • Own MySQL architecture, schemas, indexes, stored procedures, performance tuning, and query optimization
  • Shape microservices architecture and distributed-systems design decisions
  • Set engineering standards for data consistency, security, reliability, and software quality
  • Work with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders on technical direction and feature delivery
  • Facilitate architecture reviews, technical decisions, code reviews, root-cause investigations, and incident response
  • Mentor engineers, support hiring and onboarding, and deliver knowledge-transfer sessions and training
  • Own deployment practices, monitoring, application performance, scalability, reliability, and security
  • Report progress to stakeholders, clients, and customers
  • Track digital product and technology developments while pursuing ongoing professional growth
  • Support pre-sales, post-sales, and product-development activities
  • Take part in company events and uphold the company culture
  • Create training resources, guides, and documentation for upskilling and knowledge transfer

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 6 years of professional backend engineering experience, including end-to-end ownership of systems
  • Production experience developing with Go, Java, and JavaScript
  • Advanced knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot for enterprise application development
  • Experience designing REST APIs and implementing authentication, authorization, and integration services
  • Working knowledge of ReactJS and experience contributing to or collaborating on frontend development
  • Advanced MySQL experience covering schema design, indexing, stored procedures, and large-scale performance tuning
  • Experience designing microservices and distributed systems
  • Experience integrating third-party services, APIs, and enterprise platforms
  • Strong grasp of scalable, reliable, and secure system-design practices
  • Experience leading or making substantial contributions to architecture and technical design decisions
  • Ability to mentor engineers and lead code reviews that improve team-wide quality
  • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
  • Experience with CI/CD, deployments, production monitoring, and incident response
  • Excellent communication skills and experience partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading engineers is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and comfort in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver successful project outcomes in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong preference for experience facilitating knowledge-transfer sessions, training, or workshops for teams or clients
  • Willingness and availability to travel to Singapore for training in October and continue training in Manila from November through December
