Senior Backend Developer at Commit responsible for scalable Python backend systems. The role focuses on microservices, AWS cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes.

Description

  • Build, optimize, and maintain resilient backend applications in Python
  • Architect and deliver scalable, efficient microservices
  • Use AWS services to design, develop, and deploy cloud applications
  • Deploy and operate containerized workloads with Kubernetes
  • Maintain backend performance, reliability, and security
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on system architecture and technical direction
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Implement improvements that increase efficiency and minimize downtime

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional software development experience, particularly in backend engineering
  • Professional proficiency in Python
  • Django experience is advantageous
  • Thorough knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management
  • Experience building and deploying AWS cloud solutions with ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, and RDS
  • Strong experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience using relational and NoSQL databases
  • Strong debugging abilities and a thorough grasp of performance optimization
  • Effective collaboration skills across developers, product managers, and engineers
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is preferred
  • Experience with Docker and other containerization tools is preferred
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices is preferred
