Senior ASIC Verification Engineer - California Remote

Lead UVM-based SoC verification for Cornelis Networks’ high-performance AI and HPC networking products. Own verification strategy, coverage closure, team guidance, and efforts toward first-pass silicon success.

Description

  • Set SoC-level verification strategy, plans, and technical direction
  • Lead UVM environment development for RTL at block, unit, and SoC levels
  • Create and run functional tests from verification plans
  • Add functional and code coverage instrumentation and close coverage gaps
  • Partner with design, software, emulation, and silicon validation teams to maintain design quality
  • Provide daily technical guidance and leadership to team members
  • Improve team performance through mentoring, coaching, and counseling
  • Teach effective use of AI tools to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Create and uphold coding and verification standards
  • Own verification closure across project modules, subsystems, and SoCs
  • Contribute to first-pass silicon success

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional experience
  • Hands-on UVM and SystemVerilog coding experience
  • Experience verifying complex SoCs with multiple clock and reset domains using VCS or comparable simulation tools
  • Ability to trace failures to RTL lines and complete fixes with Verdi or comparable debug tools
  • Experience developing testbenches from the ground up
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering
  • Preferred: at least 8 years of relevant networking hardware verification experience
  • Preferred: expertise verifying 50G, 100G, or 400G Ethernet MAC/PCS, TCP/IP, RDMA/RoCE, and IPSec protocols
  • Preferred: proficiency in one or more of TCL, Python, Perl, or shell scripting
  • Preferred: demonstrated first-pass success in ASIC and system development
  • Strongly preferred: experience using AI tools to create test plans and improve verification productivity
