Senior Analytics Consultant (Remote, United Kingdom)
Support Howden’s insurance analytics products and their users while overseeing delivery governance. Contribute to Python-based analytical product development and reusable platform components.
Description
- Collaborate directly with consultants and client directors who use the products and act as business contacts
- Triage questions, requests, and changes for live analytical products and their users
- Resolve requests where possible and schedule work that requires further action
- Own the team’s delivery process, including backlog management in Azure DevOps
- Maintain disciplined change and release practices
- Manage the governance and approval processes required for delivery
- Maintain documentation, records, and evidence for governance, reporting, and assurance requirements
- Help build new analytical products
- Create reusable components, libraries, and templates
- Contribute to the team’s internal delivery and deployment platform
Requirements
- Bring a consulting mindset and an interest in solving varied business problems
- Demonstrate analytical or data work that others have relied on
- Have supported users of a product or system built by you or your team
- Have experience managing user requests and changes
- Have maintained documentation, governance procedures, and delivery records
- Have practical experience with Python
- Have some experience with Shiny or another interactive analytical UI framework, Quarto or comparable reporting tools, git, and Azure DevOps or another pipeline and work-tracking platform
- Be able and willing to learn the rest of the technology stack quickly
- Build independently without AI coding agents, including reading, writing, debugging, reviewing, and explaining code
- Collaborate effectively in a distributed team that primarily works through Teams
- Work effectively in a fast-growing organization with evolving processes, systems, and structures
- Take ownership of decisions, actions, and deliverables
