Scientific Relations Manager — Austria and Switzerland (Remote)

Lead scientific engagement with healthcare experts and academics for Kyowa Kirin’s pharmaceutical therapies. Support medical education, evidence generation, and improved patient outcomes across Austria and Switzerland.

Description

  • Build scientific partnerships between Kyowa Kirin and selected therapy-area experts and academics
  • Work with healthcare professionals to uncover opportunities that strengthen clinical practice and patient outcomes
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of assigned therapy areas and the supporting evidence base
  • Develop networks with national and international external experts, including leading academics
  • Address unsolicited healthcare professional enquiries with scientifically grounded responses
  • Equip Patient Journey Manager colleagues with updates on research, publications, therapy areas, and approved products
  • Organize and contribute to advisory boards and meetings with clinical investigators
  • Prepare medical content such as literature reviews, medical correspondence, and presentation slide kits
  • Assess and authorize medical and promotional materials
  • Develop and deliver medical education programs alongside the Patient Journey Manager function
  • Use digital channels to support innovative medical engagement where suitable
  • Coordinate with Clinical Operations and HEOR on evidence-generation work, clinical development, and compassionate-use programs
  • Represent the company at selected international and local medical conferences

Requirements

  • Professional expertise compliant with § 75 AMG
  • Master’s degree in natural sciences or a comparable discipline
  • Scientific training or relevant prior experience
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical industry field-based position
  • Excellent proficiency in the local language
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Digital expertise covering customer and patient experience strategy, omnichannel delivery, virtual engagement, email, webinars, and Zoom or Teams
  • Broad understanding of local, regional, and national healthcare systems and care-delivery processes
