Remote Client Accountant at Cushman & Wakefield

Manage full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, cash activity, and reconciliations for Cushman & Wakefield’s real estate clients. The role also supports audits and involves close collaboration with property management teams.

Description

  • Handle full-cycle accounting by analyzing accounts and recording accounting transactions
  • Prepare or support cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Organize and prioritize a high-volume workload across multiple clients
  • Produce and review complete financial reporting packages with accuracy and timeliness
  • Follow established procedures for accounting records, transaction research, and reporting
  • Prepare and review fixed asset ledgers
  • Calculate and record straight-line rent according to client requirements
  • Follow company financial policies and procedures, escalating inconsistencies and issues to management
  • Investigate, assess, communicate, and appropriately escalate routine accounting issues
  • Work collaboratively with clients and property management teams
  • Provide requested documentation and information to support internal and external audits
  • Complete other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

  • A college degree in finance or accounting is preferred
  • Some relevant experience is required, typically under one year or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with accounting or database software packages is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of commercial real estate is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform full-cycle accounting, including account and transaction analysis
  • Ability to prepare financial reporting packages that meet internal controls and client requirements
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload for multiple clients
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting procedures and financial policies
  • Ability to research, analyze, communicate, and appropriately escalate accounting issues
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and property management
  • Ability to meet audit requirements and assist with internal and external audits
