Remote Claim Associate - Maryland

Support insurance claims administration for Brown & Brown Insurance in a remote Maryland role. Manage claim data, correspondence, reporting, documentation, and coordination with carriers and insureds.

Description

  • Act as the primary contact for administrative and operational claims questions
  • Monitor Oxford claim mailboxes, prioritize incoming messages, and route correspondence
  • Enter, verify, and maintain information in the claims management system
  • Prepare, review, and distribute acknowledgements and routine claims correspondence
  • Contribute to internal and external reports, loss runs, and management summaries
  • Track and manage communications and records from fronting carriers
  • Handle documents through redaction, quality checks, indexing, DocuSign workflow setup, and secure delivery
  • Assist claim handlers and coordinate communication among internal teams, external partners, and insureds

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, with relevant equivalent experience also considered
  • Three to six years of increasing responsibility in claims administration, claims support, or insurance operations
  • Solid understanding of insurance claims workflows and terminology
  • Hands-on experience with claims management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced organizational and time-management capabilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting audits, reporting cycles, or client-facing deliverables preferred
