Regional Site Manager, Operations (Remote - Wisconsin)

Lead wireless tower operations across SBA Communications sites in Wisconsin. Oversee safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance, contractors, leases, and structural projects.

Description

  • Oversee operations, site management, and regulatory compliance for SBA locations across the assigned territory
  • Maintain structural integrity and uphold safety and regulatory standards for assigned assets
  • Conduct and document site safety and compliance inspections under FAA, FCC, and applicable safety requirements
  • Identify, document, resolve, and report safety or compliance concerns, including suspending unsafe work or closing sites when necessary
  • Address safety, regulatory, and operational issues, escalating unresolved matters with recommended solutions
  • Complete Tenant Installation Notices in Mobile Manager within 24–48 hours after installation dates are confirmed
  • Conduct routine site audits and finalize site summaries within 24 hours of lease execution
  • Manage trouble tickets, appoint and dispatch contractors, and serve as the operational acceptance contact for new equipment installations
  • Oversee tower-asset repairs, maintenance, inspections, security, alarm monitoring, and lighting systems
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate repairs for tower damage caused by weather, natural disasters, falls, or other events
  • Update CADD drawings when required
  • Administer the Notice to Proceed process by tracking tower modification schedules, approving start dates, and issuing NTPs
  • Conduct A&E reviews and pre- and post-construction site walks for new leases and amendments
  • Represent SBA in Ground Owner relationships by addressing complaints, arbitrating disputes, resolving grievances, and answering inquiries
  • Gather and maintain site data, including information on fiber, generators, lighting, and monitoring systems
  • Maintain M&A trackers and transition acquired sites into SBA control
  • Keep the company vehicle compliant with DOT and Fleet department standards
  • Handle Colocation RSM duties as needed, including co-location approvals, site walks, inspections, drops and swaps, and tower enhancements
  • Oversee structural engineering, tower and foundation activities, project schedules, reports, tenant and application timelines, invoices, and purchase orders
  • Manage Structural PORs and coordinate tower modifications with engineering firms and vendors
  • Prepare and submit purchase order requests for engineering letters, structural analyses, modification drawings, geotechnical reports, foundation investigations, and tower mappings
  • Review construction drawings, building permits, certificates of insurance, and scopes of work before NTP issuance
  • Complete additional projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to five years of field operations experience
  • Willingness to travel domestically
  • Valid government-issued driver's license
  • Ability to meet the role's physical and environmental requirements, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling; and exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, wet conditions, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and vibration
  • Candidates who receive a conditional offer for this safety-sensitive role must complete and pass a drug test
