Description

  • Maintain Python and related ecosystem components
  • Support Python development and packaging in Fedora Linux
  • Build new Python packages for Fedora
  • Refresh existing packages and publish new releases
  • Support Fedora infrastructure
  • Contribute to upstream Python projects and collaborate with their communities
  • Resolve integration issues between Python packages and Linux
  • Learn and apply Python testing frameworks
  • Contribute to upstream GNU Debugger development with Python and/or C/C++
  • Diagnose and fix issues while developing new GDB features
  • Use AI agents in daily workflows and support the team’s AI initiatives
  • Collaborate with experienced open-source teams

Requirements

  • Remain enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic throughout the internship
  • Be available for part-time work from February 2027 through January 2028
  • Have working proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Have experience developing with Python
  • Have basic programming experience in C or C++
  • Have used the Linux operating system
  • Have used Git for version control
  • Show an interest in learning new technologies
  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability
  • Take responsibility for assigned work
  • Basic knowledge of agentic AI is advantageous
  • Open-source contributions, participation, or GitHub code samples are advantageous
