Project Engineer, Low-Voltage Data Center

Lead low-voltage and data center infrastructure engineering for Computacenter. Own technical design, implementation support, escalations, presales collaboration, and project closeout.

Description

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for assigned projects
  • Mentor and guide Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Implementation Specialists
  • Resolve complex design and implementation issues as the senior escalation point
  • Lead Level of Effort program designs
  • Develop accurate, scalable Bills of Materials
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable designs during sales development engagements
  • Create engineering programs tailored to individual accounts
  • Monitor project progress from a technical perspective
  • Manage critical escalations and support effective technical solution implementation
  • Create Field Change Orders as project conditions evolve
  • Review and submit final engineering deliverables to the PMO
  • Approve vendor invoices against deliverables and project scope
  • Lead After Action Reviews and document lessons learned
  • Complete and maintain Required Asset Form documentation
  • Partner with sales and solution teams to scope and quote opportunities
  • Contribute technical expertise to customer meetings and proposals
  • Maintain quality standards for technical deliverables and documentation
  • Advance process improvements and technical innovation

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in low-voltage or ICT infrastructure engineering
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical project teams
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling, network infrastructure, and low-voltage technologies
  • Proficiency in BOM development, field change documentation, and project closeout processes
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience reading construction drawings and using CAD or Revit
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Experience working in a matrixed project organization
  • BICSI certification, such as RCDD, or equivalent is preferred
