Data Quality Analyst – Melbourne (Hybrid)

Validate arboricultural data and proofread ArborSafe reports for accurate, consistent delivery. Support Civica’s public-sector software customers through reliable document quality control.

Description

  • Review and edit tree inventories and assessment data gathered by field arborists
  • Verify data completeness, consistency, anomalies and formatting accuracy
  • Proofread and complete customer reports, including grammar, structure, pagination, headings, tables, images and overall presentation
  • Cross-check customer, site and project information across reports and related files
  • Record unclear, incomplete or conflicting information and raise clear queries
  • Coordinate with arborists and technical contacts to resolve outstanding questions
  • Use review checklists, templates, naming standards, quality controls and document-management procedures
  • Prioritise assigned work and keep job status records accurate
  • Help meet production schedules and customer delivery deadlines
  • Escalate issues requiring arboricultural expertise or unresolved quality decisions
  • Suggest improvements to report quality, workflow consistency and team efficiency

Requirements

  • Demonstrated precision and a systematic approach to checking data and documents
  • Strong proofreading, editing, grammar and written communication capabilities
  • Background in data quality, quality assurance, auditing, proofreading, document review, report production, technical administration or a similar role
  • Ability to understand structured or technical information, follow established standards and identify when clarification is needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro experience is advantageous
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to protect quality while meeting deadlines in a high-volume setting
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures and request guidance when requirements are uncertain
  • Experience with workflow, document-management or proprietary software is useful; training is provided
