Product Development Data Analyst, AVP - State Street, Mumbai Onsite
State Street seeks an AVP-level data analyst in Mumbai to build client-facing reports and visualizations for investment services. The role uses SQL, business intelligence tools, and data warehousing to deliver global reporting solutions.
Description
- Create reports with IRD and build visualizations in Manage Card Designer (MCD)
- Evaluate large datasets and support data modeling and data mart development
- Deliver reporting and visualization solutions with Jasper, WebFocus, Actuate, and eSpreadsheet
- Use SQL for analysis, query performance improvement, and data validation
- Partner with data sourcing teams and product stakeholders to maintain data integrity and business-logic alignment
- Serve as an IRD subject matter expert for ad hoc reporting and issue resolution
- Keep current with Big Data platforms, cloud technologies, Databricks, Snowflake, and EDW
- Lead report development for State Street Investment Services clients
- Turn complex data into clear, actionable reports and visualizations
Requirements
- Proficiency with BI platforms including JasperReports, WebFocus, Actuate, and eSpreadsheet
- Advanced SQL capability and experience working with large-scale data warehouse environments
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices
- Familiarity with Big Data platforms, cloud technologies, Snowflake, and Databricks
- Understanding of front-, middle-, and back-office investment operations and the trade lifecycle
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Ability to balance competing priorities while delivering accurate work on schedule
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, MIS, computer science, or a related discipline
- More than 10 years of experience in data analysis, dashboard design, and business intelligence
- Experience with financial reporting, data warehousing, and BI tool architecture
- Familiarity with SDLC or Agile delivery methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with State Street’s IRD platform is preferred but not required
