Process Engineer/Scientist (Cramlington, Onsite)

Organon is seeking a Process Engineer/Scientist to support technical transfers, validation, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement at its Cramlington site. The role contributes to technical operations for global healthcare products, including women’s health solutions.

Description

  • Lead Technical Operations projects covering technical transfers, new equipment, supplier item qualification, cleaning, and continuous improvement
  • Apply technical expertise to deliver Technical Operations projects safely, compliantly, on schedule, and within budget
  • Support manufacturing and packaging processes through technical transfers, specification development, testing, qualification, and operation of new capital equipment
  • Investigate manufacturing, packaging, and laboratory deviations, determine assignable causes, and recommend actions to reduce rework and strengthen process capability
  • Coordinate process and cleaning validation activities
  • Prepare validation protocols and oversee in-process validation sampling
  • Contribute to and coordinate cross-functional site teams on specialist matters
  • Help maintain compliance with site policies, procedures, guidelines, and SOPs
  • Deliver and support Technical Services training while explaining team responsibilities to other functions
  • Provide technical input to Quality and Compliance initiatives using Quality Risk Management principles
  • Promote Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, and robust systems through Lean Six Sigma methods

Requirements

  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, ideally within process support, or at least a degree in a science or engineering discipline or an equivalent qualification
  • A constructive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence, and work effectively independently and across functions
  • Project management capability within a lean manufacturing environment
  • Strong time management and organisational skills for prioritisation, resource allocation, and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate risks and escalate potential issues appropriately
  • Logical and analytical problem-solving skills, including effective root cause analysis
  • Ability to apply Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Ability to build and sustain stakeholder relationships by understanding requirements and driving constructive change
