Probate Litigation Attorney – Hybrid, Texas

Handle Texas probate, guardianship, and estate planning matters, including trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions. Work with dedicated legal, administrative, and billing support.

Description

  • Manage complex litigation from intake through final judgment, including contested divorces, SAPCR cases, and protective orders.
  • Lead probate disputes involving guardianships, wills, trusts, and fiduciary duties.
  • Prepare comprehensive estate plans.
  • Lead trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions in Texas and surrounding counties.
  • Develop litigation tactics and negotiation strategies.
  • Represent clients with a focus on results and compassionate service.
  • Manage cases across firm offices as needed.
  • Supervise assigned paralegals and support staff.
  • Prepare accurate pleadings, discovery, and legal documents.
  • Represent clients at the firm’s locations and in surrounding Texas courts.

Requirements

  • Hold active membership in the Texas State Bar and have at least two years of licensure.
  • Have at least five years of focused experience in estate planning, probate, and guardianship litigation.
  • Demonstrate a successful courtroom record.
  • Bring a confident approach to high-impact litigation.
  • Have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Remain empathetic when working through highly emotional situations.
  • Be proficient with Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite, and modern e-filing systems.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Be able to travel between firm offices.
  • English-Spanish bilingual ability is a strong plus.
