Principal Frontend Engineer (Hybrid, Lithuania)

Lead frontend architecture and complex cross-domain delivery for carVertical’s automotive data products. Set engineering standards, guide technical decisions, improve tooling, and mentor frontend teams while remaining hands-on.

Description

  • Advance frontend architecture, standards, and engineering practices across several product areas
  • Own complex cross-domain initiatives that require coordination beyond individual teams
  • Strengthen frontend quality across code quality, performance, maintainability, and default implementation patterns
  • Mentor senior engineers and support the practical adoption of effective engineering patterns
  • Accelerate delivery through modern tooling, including AI-assisted tools, while protecting product quality
  • Work with product, design, QA, and backend partners to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Challenge assumptions early to ensure features are built with clear user and product understanding
  • Guide cross-team technical decisions and represent frontend concerns in planning and prioritization
  • Contribute hands-on to architecture, implementation, code reviews, RFCs, and mentoring
  • Help define platform investments, tooling priorities, architectural direction, and frontend hiring standards
  • Continue coding while increasing the effectiveness of frontend engineers across the organization

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture
  • Experience using platforms such as Vercel, Sanity, PostHog, or comparable tools
  • A track record of designing frontend architectures that scale across teams and support long-term growth
  • Strong knowledge of frontend performance, rendering behavior, and trade-offs in high-scale products
  • Ability to lead through influence and raise engineering standards without formal authority
  • Strong product judgment in complex or ambiguous data-driven interface environments
  • Practical judgment when adopting modern tools, including AI, without reducing quality
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
  • A consistently high standard of engineering quality for yourself and your colleagues
  • Experience with Next.js is advantageous
