Principal Contracts Specialist - Arizona Remote | RTX

Lead proposals, negotiations, and contract execution for Raytheon Naval Power missile programs. Support U.S. Navy, foreign military sales, and subcontractor contracts.

Description

  • Direct new business pursuits and proposal development
  • Oversee contract execution for a critical Naval Power and Naval Air Missiles program
  • Recommend strategic approaches to proposal, negotiation, and execution challenges
  • Ensure proposals are delivered on schedule and active contracts are executed effectively
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Coordinate with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to support successful contract execution
  • Identify, reduce, and resolve contractual risks and issues
  • Confirm negotiated terms and conditions align with company policies
  • Advise on contractual and business matters, rights and obligations, and contract or program risk mitigation
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers and internal business partners
  • Work with customers on correspondence, contract modifications, and contractual issues
  • Manage contracts and collaborate directly with program leadership
  • Support development and production contracts for domestic, foreign military sales, and subcontractor requirements
  • Contribute to business management reviews, including quarterly estimate-at-completion reviews

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance is required after the first day
  • Typically, a university degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree with at least 3 years of experience
  • Background in contracts management, program management, business management, finance, supply chain processes, or procurement
  • Experience with contracts, terms and conditions, RFPs, RFQs, FAR, DFARS, or comparable contract work
  • Experience negotiating, executing, and administering varied contract requirements
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement requirements
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical-thinking skills for solving complex problems
  • Understanding of contract financial matters and risk quantification
  • Experience with intellectual property, license, or teaming agreements
  • Advanced degrees such as an MBA, JD, law degree, or Master of Science in Finance are preferred
