Platform Architect (Remote, United States)

Description

  • Architect scalable, secure, highly available platform solutions
  • Build and operate telemetry ingestion pipelines using NetFlow, sFlow, and IPFIX
  • Maintain and improve DDoS detection and mitigation platforms
  • Analyze network traffic to identify optimization and security opportunities
  • Establish Infrastructure as Code and platform automation practices
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and performance across platform environments
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and security teams on platform and network initiatives
  • Integrate and support traffic intelligence platforms, including Nokia Deepfield
  • Provide technical direction and help establish architectural standards
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational best practices

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, DNS, and SNMP
  • Professional experience working with service provider networks
  • Experience with NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, and traffic telemetry systems
  • Knowledge of DDoS detection and mitigation approaches
  • Hands-on ownership and operational experience with DDoS platforms such as Nokia Deepfield, Netscout Arbor, or comparable tools
  • Experience administering Linux or Unix systems
  • Programming or scripting experience with Python, Go, or a comparable language
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and automation
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of experience in platform engineering, network engineering, or architecture
  • Authorization to work without employment-based visa sponsorship
