Pharmacy Business Intelligence Analyst

Turn Riverside Health pharmacy data into actionable clinical, operational, and financial insight. Build dashboards, analytical models, and 340B reporting that support pharmacy leadership.

Description

  • Gather, integrate, and manage pharmacy data from internal and external sources
  • Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of clinical, operational, and financial datasets
  • Create and maintain visualizations, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions
  • Conduct advanced analyses, statistical assessments, and trend modeling
  • Use patterns, correlations, and performance drivers to strengthen pharmacy enterprise decision-making
  • Produce patient- and medication-centered analytics for quality, safety, clinical improvement, outcomes, adherence, and care experience
  • Deliver pharmacy financial datasets, dashboards, and analytical models covering drug costs, reimbursement trends, margins, contracting effects, and budget variance
  • Support 340B analytics and reporting through compliance checks, performance measurement, and required data extraction
  • Maintain source documentation, data maps, definitions, and lineage records
  • Partner with pharmacy leadership, clinical teams, finance, IT, supply chain, and compliance to deliver data solutions aligned with system goals and emerging priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, information systems, business, pharmacy, public health, healthcare administration, or a related quantitative or healthcare field
  • At least two years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, analytics, or reporting with structured datasets
  • Advanced Excel capability, including pivot tables, nested formulas, complex data structures, and Power Query
  • Proficiency with SQL for querying, extracting, and manipulating database information
  • Experience handling large datasets and relational databases
  • Knowledge of data validation, governance, quality assurance, and standardization practices
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and effective presentation practices
  • Ability to convert complex data into useful insights for clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
  • High attention to detail with a consistent focus on data accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively
  • Proven ability to advance data-driven decisions through clear communication with leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Experience with business intelligence or visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or comparable tools
  • Preferred: one year supporting healthcare, pharmacy, or clinical operations through analytics, reporting, or data-informed decision support
  • Preferred: one year working in a hospital or integrated health system
  • Familiarity with EPIC Clarity or Caboodle, pharmacy information systems, EHR reporting tools, or claims and financial systems
  • Preferred understanding of medication-use processes, clinical workflows, drug-cost structures, reimbursement models, or supply chain concepts
