Description

  • Direct Par Health’s Business Development function.
  • Find, assess, and negotiate licensing and M&A opportunities.
  • Develop opportunities that support business growth, profitability, and development.
  • Assess international business development opportunities.
  • Monitor business development budgets and spending with Finance and Tax.
  • Lead strategic and financial analysis of in-licensing opportunities, product acquisitions, M&A, and international deals.
  • Direct due diligence with internal and external teams.
  • Brief senior management on business development opportunities.
  • Lead contract negotiations with internal and external counsel, coordinating teams to complete agreements.
  • Coordinate the transfer of completed transactions to project management and cross-functional integration teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s, MBA, or scientific background is strongly preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, including 8 or more years in progressively responsible business development roles.
  • Experience with both generic and sterile products.
  • A proven record of completing transactions.
  • Knowledge of generic pharmaceuticals and sterile injectables, including their commercial and regulatory environments.
  • Strong knowledge of licensing agreements and M&A processes.
  • Knowledge of legal strategies, patents, Hatch-Waxman, Paragraph IV litigation, and at-risk launch scenarios.
  • Financial skills, including spreadsheet modeling such as cash flow valuation analysis.
  • Business judgment, analytical ability, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving.
  • Ability to develop insightful, evidence-based, practical assessments of opportunities and strategic options.
  • Initiative, accountability, and ownership in driving projects to completion.
  • Ability to work at both strategic and detailed levels.
  • Must work in the office due to the confidential nature of the role.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally about 10% of the time.
