Part-Time Studio Coordinator - CorePower Yoga, Portland

Part-time Studio Coordinator role supporting CorePower Yoga studio operations, student service, and health standards in Portland. Teach at least six weekly classes while assisting staff, systems, and day-to-day studio needs.

Description

  • Coordinate studio operations and uphold high health and safety standards to support the CorePower Yoga studio experience
  • Assist the Studio Manager with membership growth, retail sales, community outreach, teacher and Studio Experience Team recruitment, and programming enrollment
  • Work 18–29 hours per week in the studio, supporting operations and teaching classes if certified
  • Manage studio operations and serve as the primary contact for students and staff when the Studio Manager is absent, for up to 20 hours per week
  • Maintain supplies, cleanliness materials, locker room amenities, towels, and programming resources
  • Welcome students, engage with the studio community, represent yoga, and build community at the front desk
  • Support teachers with POS processes and pre- and post-class responsibilities
  • Maintain standards for cleanliness, functionality, health, safety, heat, humidity, music, and clutter-free spaces
  • Explain Smart Health Protocol to students
  • Clean the studio, replenish amenities, and verify that cleanliness procedures are followed
  • Interview, hire, schedule, train, discipline, and terminate Studio Experience Team employees when required
  • Conduct orientation for new Studio Experience Team members
  • Manage POS, online reservations, substitute coverage, HRIS, and help desk systems
  • Check in students, sell packages and memberships, and resolve account concerns
  • Assist with late-cancel fees, waitlists, and student-support administration
  • Submit facilities tickets and update the Studio Manager on follow-up requirements
  • Teach at least six CorePower Yoga classes each week and cover additional classes as needed

Requirements

  • Demonstrated alignment with CorePower Yoga’s Core Values
  • Excellent oral communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Comfort using studio systems, including HRIS, intranet, point-of-sale, scheduling, and payroll platforms
  • Ability to build effective relationships with people of varied personalities, working styles, and seniority levels
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced setting, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines
  • Self-directed approach with enthusiasm for taking on new projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to take initiative and set priorities
  • Flexible availability aligned with business needs and leadership zig-zag schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Ability to move throughout the studio, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • If certified to teach, ability to lead a class with little or no notice while scheduled in the studio
  • Completion of a Yoga Alliance-certified 200-hour program preferred
  • Yoga Sculpt teacher training preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
