Part-Time Master's Software Engineering Intern – Brno Hybrid

Part-time software engineering internship at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies focused on verification and validation of real-time embedded aviation software. Develop testing tools and environments under DO-178 guidelines in a hybrid Brno setting.

Description

  • Verify and validate real-time embedded control software for aviation applications
  • Test and document software in line with DO-178 guidelines
  • Build tests, tools, and environments that support software testing
  • Report project status regularly to management and leadership
  • Expand cross-domain software verification and validation expertise while improving tools and processes
  • Support V&V Center of Excellence strategies, innovations, and tool deployments across programs
  • Assist the software development team according to project needs
  • Complete assignments provided by primary managers

Requirements

  • Currently in the fourth or final year of an engineering master's program
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python or another Windows or Unix scripting language
  • Fluent English communication and excellent technical writing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Dependable team contributor with high ethical standards and a collaborative approach
  • EU citizenship, required due to export restrictions
  • Knowledge of C or C++ programming
  • Familiarity with aerospace software standards, especially DO-178
