Operations Manager, Regulated Crypto Operations — Coinbase (UAE Remote)

Lead regulated crypto operations for Coinbase in Abu Dhabi, supporting compliance, resilience, and execution across trading, staking, and custody. Partner with senior leaders, regulators, banks, and cross-functional teams to strengthen operational controls and manage critical initiatives.

Description

  • Support the Senior Executive Officer with ADGM operational oversight, managing internal and external service providers in accordance with local regulations and contractual commitments.
  • Implement operational policies, procedures, service-level frameworks, and risk controls across core business workstreams.
  • Create and maintain supervision frameworks for trading, staking, and custody activities that reflect regulatory and industry standards.
  • Develop operational resilience programs covering risk detection, contingency planning, and vulnerability reduction.
  • Lead coordination during operational incidents with internal teams, regulators, and third-party providers.
  • Manage relationships with banks, regulators, and internal stakeholders while communicating operational and risk strategies.
  • Direct major operations and risk initiatives across Legal, Compliance, Security, Finance, Product, and Customer Service.
  • Support first-line operational activities, including launch reviews, approvals, workforce planning, and audits.

Requirements

  • At least eight years of experience in Middle Eastern financial services, management or strategy consulting, or operations strategy.
  • Background in a regulated investment dealer environment, with trade supervision experience across crypto, equities, or derivatives.
  • Proven ability to design new processes and improve existing workflows to increase operational efficiency.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including effective engagement with senior management.
  • Ability to create polished, external-facing content and materials with limited review.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Working knowledge of crypto and Web3, including digital asset markets and tokenization.
  • Responsible use of AI, with human oversight maintained to produce business-ready work and measurable gains in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
