Description
- Oversee daily site operations, including warehousing, receiving, and product shipping
- Coordinate inbound and outbound volumes, customer communications, space utilization, and equipment management
- Create procedures and operating systems that support safe, profitable operations
- Manage performance against productivity, service, client SLA, KPI, quality, cost, revenue, and profit targets
- Lead continuous-improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce costs
- Lead, motivate, coach, and address performance or disciplinary matters with team members
- Partner with Human Resources on hiring, training, development, evaluations, promotions, and wage increases
- Update senior leaders and client representatives on significant operational issues
- Prepare daily schedules, review work orders and arrival notices, set priorities, and assign warehouse work
- Plan warehouse-space reorganizations and adjustments to supplies, equipment, and staffing
- Oversee training, trainee evaluations, SOP compliance, and team development
- Facilitate regular staff meetings
- Ensure employees are trained and effective in WMS and other required information systems
- Verify computer hardware and software purchases follow Corporate IT policies
- Maintain current knowledge of hardware and software technology and build proficiency in client systems
- Oversee customer service standards and operational and administrative support for client accounts
- Participate in or lead important customer meetings and coordinate supplier and customer site visits
- Assist with annual operating budget preparation and maintain financial controls
- Oversee sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, safety, equipment, and material-handling programs
- Build a proactive safety culture and audit warehouse compliance with safety, security, and quality standards
Requirements

- Ensure compliance with DSV and client SOPs
- Demonstrate proficiency in required information systems, including WMS

- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and other statutory Health and Safety requirements
- Manage warehousing, receiving, and shipping operations
- Manage hiring, training, labor planning, performance appraisals, and performance issues
- Manage budgets, operational controls, equipment, facilities, and safety programs
