Nuclear Project Engineer (M/F) – Aix-en-Provence Hybrid

Lead nuclear facility modernization and operational-readiness projects in a regulated engineering environment. Coordinate studies, budgets, schedules, construction activities, stakeholders, and nuclear safety requirements.

Description

  • Support nuclear facility modernization and operational-readiness projects for an energy engineering firm
  • Contribute throughout the project life cycle, from preliminary studies to construction monitoring
  • Control project costs, schedules, and safety requirements
  • Manage all or part of an engineering project in a highly regulated environment
  • Coordinate technical studies and track technical and financial performance
  • Prepare or review preliminary and detailed design studies
  • Define project activities, milestones, and delivery schedules
  • Track technical progress, budgets, and timelines
  • Review contributor deliverables for compliance with project requirements
  • Monitor construction activities and coordinate associated work
  • Act as the technical liaison for the client and project stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and monitor risks affecting project delivery
  • Apply nuclear safety principles and established safety methods
  • Participate in project reviews and communicate progress to management and the client
  • Help prepare and maintain technical and contractual documentation
  • Coordinate the internal and external teams contributing to the project

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or five-year master’s degree, preferably in civil, mechanical, electrical, or process engineering
  • At least three years of experience in project management
  • Experience in the nuclear sector or another industry governed by demanding safety standards is preferred
  • Working knowledge of the nuclear environment and practices for safety-significant activities
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety principles
  • Proficiency with project tracking tools for schedules, costs, and documentation
  • Meticulous, organized approach to project work
  • Ability to lead contributors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Confidence managing technical and contractual discussions with clients
  • Analytical approach with the ability to anticipate project risks
  • Able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Responsive and adaptable when construction or scheduling issues arise
