MEAL Analyst, Partner and Community Impact

Lead monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports to assess the impact of food security programs.

Description

  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to guide data-driven decisions
  • Oversee data collection systems, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Analyze data to assess the effectiveness and impact of food security programs
  • Research and conduct exploratory data analysis to inform program strategies
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity and ensure reporting compliance
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators and reporting metrics
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to MEAL Analysts and other team members
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen program evaluation and apply MEAL best practices
  • Design and deliver training on data management and evaluation practices
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership, grantors, and other stakeholders
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, public health, evaluation, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • A master’s degree is highly competitive
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis roles
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as R
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience leading teams and managing direct reports
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards
  • Experience in nonprofit, food security, or related sectors is an advantage
