Master Clinical Application Analyst – Epic Beacon (Remote)

Lead support for UAMS Epic Beacon applications, including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, integrations, and clinical IT initiatives.

Description

  • Support EMR Services, with primary responsibility for the Beacon application, independently.
  • Supervise and contribute to system build, testing, implementation support, and maintenance for assigned Epic applications.
  • Meet service-level agreements and project deadlines.
  • Report team performance to senior management and provide input on team member evaluations.
  • Conduct detailed analysis, troubleshooting, data gathering, and root-cause investigations.
  • Evaluate and test product releases, then communicate necessary operational updates.
  • Document, follow, and enforce system change-control procedures.
  • Coordinate analysts, vendors, and operations teams to preserve system integrity and address business needs.
  • Research, assess, facilitate, and implement business and system workflows that improve processes.
  • Recognize best practices and apply opportunities for standardization.
  • Prepare activity reports and other operational reports.
  • Provide on-call support for applications.
  • Offer procedural and technical direction and supervision to team members.
  • Lead configuration, maintenance, testing, optimization, integrations, security, and production changes.
  • Lead and support IT projects, implementations, upgrades, requirements gathering, documentation, and deployments.
  • Create system documentation, training materials, reports, audit trails, change controls, and business continuity procedures.
  • Assist with project cost analyses, estimates, budget validation, and fiscal or metrics-related work.
  • Maintain required certifications and keep current with industry, regulatory, and technology developments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field and four years of application systems development and testing experience, including two years in a healthcare delivery system and one year managing a process or application; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field and six years of the specified experience; or
  • Associate’s degree in computer science, nursing, or a related healthcare field and eight years of the specified experience; or
  • High school diploma or GED and ten years of the specified experience.
  • Epic Beacon certification is required.
  • Certification must comply with the IT Epic Certification Policy.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Professional suite.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
  • At least two years leading teams or projects is preferred.
  • Provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
  • Complete annual TB screening and a criminal background check.
  • Resume required.
