Description

  • Assess death notifications and associated documentation
  • Examine member files and legal records to establish beneficiaries and tax considerations
  • Review separation agreements and process pension-division payments
  • Calculate pension divisions in accordance with provincial legislation
  • Apply legislative requirements when calculating decumulation plans
  • Evaluate requests to unlock locked-in accounts and establish eligibility
  • Review bankruptcy and garnishment documentation and payments
  • Contact members and clients to obtain outstanding information
  • Work with internal teams to resolve complex cases
  • Process payments through multiple systems while meeting service standards
  • Prepare and issue tax slips in line with legislative requirements
  • Investigate rejection and exception reports and take the required action
  • Conduct peer reviews of analyses and financial transactions
  • Identify beneficiaries or recipients in death, bankruptcy, and garnishment cases
  • Verify that documentation for unlocking locked-in funds is complete and compliant

Requirements

  • Demonstrated analytical ability with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret legal documents and apply provincial legislation and regulations
  • Exceptional accuracy in calculations and financial transaction processing
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with clients and internal partners
  • Knowledge of GSR products and pension legislation
  • Advanced French-language proficiency
