Description

Lead architecture and development across major areas of Coupa’s globally scaling SaaS products
Build AI capabilities through hands-on Large Language Model and custom AI Gateway integration
Work with Product, Design, and Enterprise Architecture to deliver end-to-end solutions for complex financial spend challenges
Improve performance, streamline existing code, and strengthen CI/CD pipelines
Investigate and resolve complex, escalated production issues with customer support and professional services
Support applications and infrastructure across customer environments
Coordinate with global engineering teams to plan and deliver product releases

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related discipline
At least 8 years of industry experience developing web applications or platforms
1–2 years of experience serving as a pod or technical lead
Experience deploying production AI and/or optimization models in commercial settings
Strong programming skills in .NET Core/.NET 8+, Python, C#, Groovy, and Java
Experience using AI assistants to improve engineering efficiency
Deep knowledge of computational complexity, advanced data structures, and algorithm design
Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to product and business leaders
Ability to make technical decisions independently and lead globally distributed teams in an agile environment
Preferred: expertise in Supply Chain Network Design and/or Large Language Models
Preferred: experience with mathematical MIP/MILP and AI/ML models
Preferred: experience with Gurobi or comparable commercial mathematical solvers
Preferred: experience building and deploying microservices on cloud-native platforms such as AWS, GCP, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
Preferred: experience with large-scale relational and NoSQL databases
Preferred: experience with enterprise messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Rescue
