Lead Power BI Developer – Illinois Remote

Lead the development of scalable Power BI and Microsoft Fabric solutions at Tiger Analytics. This role supports enterprise reporting, machine learning, and Generative AI programs.

Description

  • Build and deliver intuitive, interactive Power BI dashboards
  • Convert complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Create and optimize advanced DAX measures, calculations, and custom time-intelligence logic
  • Assess business metrics and organizational KPIs
  • Connect to, extract, and transform structured and unstructured data from varied enterprise systems
  • Use Power Query (M) and automated data flows to support data preparation
  • Investigate report issues and improve performance
  • Optimize DAX measures and data models by reducing cardinality and applying star-schema design
  • Establish and administer governance and report security controls, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)
  • Work with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, AI teams, business leaders, functional groups, and other cross-disciplinary stakeholders
  • Turn analytical questions into effective visual reporting solutions
  • Contribute to organization-wide analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI initiatives

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Lead Power BI Developer
  • Ability to build and maintain scalable BI solutions, enterprise semantic models, and reporting infrastructure with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
  • Proficiency in creating and optimizing advanced DAX measures, calculations, and custom time-intelligence logic
  • Experience with Power Query (M) and automated data flows
  • Experience connecting, extracting, and transforming structured and unstructured data from diverse enterprise sources
  • Experience optimizing DAX measures and improving data models
  • Understanding of cardinality reduction and star-schema architecture
  • Experience implementing and administering Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)
  • Ability to partner with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, AI teams, business leaders, functional groups, and cross-disciplinary stakeholders
